Legrandhas an exciting opportunity for aMechanical Engineering Co-Op, Spring/Summer 2026in our Syracuse, NY office. As an intern, you’ll participate in our New Product Development process and develop competency in a variety of mechanical engineering activities.

Main Job Duties:

Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Product Design which may include:

+ Plastic component and sheet metal component design

+ Creation of Engineering Drawings and Specifications

+ Product Benchmarking

+ Design of experiments, perform tests, and document results

+ Use of Engineering software to perform tasks

+ Provide support to Engineers and Lab Technicians as needed

Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00/ per hour

Qualifications

Requirements :

+ Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree program in an associated discipline from an accredited institution.

+ Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

+ Solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively on a team.

+ Good communication skills both verbal & written.

+ Must provide own mode of transportation. Housing stipend available based on distance from office location.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S.
