    Job Description:

    This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Collaboration Agreement and/or other similar documentation as appropriate.

    About this role:

    As an Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (physician assistant or nurse practitioner) part of the Musculoskeletal team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. The Musculoskeletal team at White Sage Clinic has 4 providers: 3 physicians and 1 APP.

     

    The APP will provide general orthopedics care to patients from adolescence and up. The APP will see patients in clinic, as needed first assist in related surgeries, and round with post-operative patients in the hospital. Clinic responsibilities will include seeing new patients for initial visits, pre-op, post-op, and follow up visits for existing patients.

    In this role, you can anticipate:

    + Practicing at White Sage, Sevier Valley, and Fillmore Clinics.

    + Sub-Specialty call to support Orthopedic Program; you may be asked to participate in call, but commitment varies by facility and need. Compensation offered for call requirement.

    + This position includes relocation assistance for those who qualify.

    What you’ll bring:

    + APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program

    + Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one

    + BLS certification and DEA

    + Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

    + 7-10 years of general orthopedics experience

    + Expectedtoliftandutilizefullrangeofmovementtotransferpatients.Willalsobendtoretrieve,lift,andcarrysuppliesandequipment.Typicallyincludesitemsofvaryingweights,uptoandincludingheavyitems.

    + Needtowalkandassistwithtransporting/ambulatingpatientsandobtaininganddistributingsuppliesandequipment.Thisincludespushing/pullinggurneysandportableequipment,includingheavyitems.Oftenrequiredtonavigatecrowdedandbusyrooms(fullofequipment,powercordsonthefloor,etc.).

    + Maybeexpectedtostandinastationarypositionforanextendedperiod.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $56.76 - $87.59
