Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Interpret physician orders, screen profiles for drug interactions, refill medication orders from patient profile, compound I.V. admixtures and perform duties of a Registered Pharmacist with the attendant supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate or equivalent level of competency required.
2. Current acceptance/enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program. Internship license required within 3 months of hire.
3. Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
4. Articulate and demonstrate commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of MHP.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Primarily involves bending, crouching, sitting, squatting, walking, standing and reading, but will also employ a wide range of physical activities.
2. Occasionally involves lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs unassisted.
3. Is very frequently performing detailed tasks (bookkeeping, transcription), being subject to interruptions and evolving and changing work priorities.
4. May involve exposure to hazardous conditions such as chemicals and chemotherapy agents, vapors, fumes and gases and infectious diseases.
5. Ability to tolerate frequent hand washing.
