Job Summary and Qualifications
RN opening for inpatient rehab to function as a PPS Coordinator (PPSC)
The Prospective Payment System Coordinator (PPSC) interprets information within the company’s electronic health records to ensure complete and accurate provider documentation. As appropriate, reviews with other inpatient rehabilitation employees, physicians, and the coding team to provide patient clinical documentation that eliminates conflicting, imprecise, incomplete, illegible, or inconsistent clinical documentation. Input of patient information into payor programs/ and data collection for facility quality improvement programs.
Education & Experience:
+ **Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required**
+ **3 to 5 years of experience in Medical/ Surgical Nursing or Intensive Care with strong medical knowledge base.**
+ **Inpatient Rehabilitation experience a plus.**
+ **Knowledge of pressure wound assessment and staging preferred.**
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
• Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of residence.
• PPSC certification preferred, or obtained in the first year of hire.
Skills:
• Demonstrate proficiency in current and emerging technologies.
• Adapt easily to change and able to multi-task.
• Simultaneously use multiple technologies to complete unique patient-level reviews.
• Independently take proactive steps toward problem resolution.
• Complete all mandatory and assigned education by established deadlines.
• Attend scheduled meetings and continuing education programs.
• Strong computer skills required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Acute Inpatient Rehab Experience Preferred

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery.
