    About the Position

     

    The Advancement Associate will play a vital role in supporting the work of Grace Church School’s Advancement Office. This position is responsible for managing and executing all processes related to gift data entry and acknowledgement. The Associate will also contribute to Advancement events—including the School’s annual Auction Benefit—while assisting with the annual fund, alumni relations, donor research, and general office operations. In addition, the Associate will provide logistical and administrative support to the Director of Advancement.

    Responsibilities Stewardship and Data Management

    + Accurately and efficiently process all gifts, pledges, and related donor information.

    + Manage the gift acknowledgement process, including generating and mailing timely and personalized acknowledgement letters.

    + Assist with acknowledgements for major and leadership donors.

    + Provide data support for the annual fund, Giving Day, and other campaigns.

    + Generate simple data reports as requested.

    + Support volunteer management for the annual fund, Advancement Committee, and Alumni Board.

    Event Support

    + Assist with planning and execution of Advancement special events, including the School’s Auction Benefit, Reunion, VIP Day, and alumni programs.

    + Manage event logistics such as RSVPs, name tags, vendor coordination, and volunteer support.

    + Assist in the preparation of donor and event briefings.

     

    Administrative Support

     

    + Provide logistical and scheduling support to the Director of Advancement, including correspondence with donors and coordination of meetings.

    + Occasionally assist with email review and screening.

    General

    + Other duties as assigned in support of the Advancement Office and Grace Church School.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

    + A demonstrated record of managing details and staying organized amid a complex workflow

    + Skill providing support to a range of community stakeholders across a variety of tasks Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus

    + Alignment with Grace Church School’s mission, vision and values

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    + 1–3 years of professional experience in advancement, development, alumni relations, event planning, or a related administrative role.

    + Proficiency with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with donor database systems such as Raiser’s Edge preferred.

    + Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex workflow.

    + Clear writing and professional correspondence; ability to interact with donors, volunteers, and colleagues with tact, warmth, and discretion.

    + Flexibility, collaborative spirit, and commitment to advancing Grace Church School’s mission, vision, and values.

    + Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for Advancement events.

    + A sense of humor and positive attitude.

     

    This is a full-time faculty position with an expected base salary o f $55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with education and experience on the salary scale.
