We're looking for a collaborative Project Engineer - Buildings who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. This unique opportunity is based at a client site in Austin, Texas, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and client. You’ll be responsible not only for the project delivery but also for successful project completion in accordance with project objectives. You'll manage and provide assistance to the project to help resolve complex project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements. You’ll support project delivery, helping resolve complex issues and ensuring alignment with project objectives. Your contributions will be essential to managing materials, schedules, budgets, scope, and safety—making you a key player in our operations. Key Responsibilities:
• Support Project Managers in delivering complex, multi-phased projects, focusing on scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and information management.
• Assist in planning and facilitating meetings; prepare agendas, meeting notes, and presentations.
• Help manage budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documentation, and project controls.
• Review and provide feedback on consultant and contractor pay applications and change orders.
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance of meeting minutes during design and construction phases.
• Oversee program badging and badge access.
• Compile, submit, and track project purchase requisitions, change orders, and pay applications.
At Jacobs, you’ll be part of a global team working together to achieve outstanding project outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects
• Strong knowledge of building systems and components, project delivery methods, contract management, and team coordination.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, build client relationships, and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Must be willing to be onsite daily.
