You will work with a core group of engineers and designers on studies, designs, and field assignments for clients across Alaska. Your work will focus on water and wastewater treatment systems and storage, conveyance, and distribution system projects. You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following:
• Leading all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning
• Assist with business development, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts to grow our business
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships by communicating with clients on technical design topics and project schedule/budget/scope to develop long term strategy for continued market success
• Deliver projects across Alaska, including conveyance, storage, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and planning.
• Managing and/or leading projects in accordance with the contract requirements and Jacobs’ business processes, driving profitability and building new business opportunities.
• You will be responsible for leading project teams and communicating between diverse design disciplines for the delivery of designs and related studies

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred)
• Minimum 7 years in the industry with directly applicable project management experience
• Professional Engineer license (P.E.) (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
• Progressive experience developing engineering technical reports and presentations, design drawings and specifications, and/or with computer modeling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver and lead tasks
• Attention to detail, quality delivery, and client service
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to help develop other front-line leaders as part of succession planning
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• Design and/or project management experience
• A strong network with local municipalities or other water/wastewater clients
