Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for taking raw sheet metal coils and running them through machines to create parts for various departments. This includes cutting out wall panels and making racks that go inside the units. You will operate machines to cut, bend, punch, and shear materials, and ensure the machines are running properly. Most tasks are computer-based, involving pressing buttons and monitoring screens.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machines to cut, bend, punch, and shear sheet metal.
+ Load and unload materials and ensure proper machine operation.
+ Fabricate parts by working with sheet metal and reading blueprints.
+ Inspect final parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
+ Start on one machine for approximately three months before being trained to operate another.
Essential Skills
+ Sheet metal fabrication and grinding.
+ Experience with CNC operations such as press, punch, hardware, laser, lathe, and router.
+ Proficiency in machine operation and mechanical skills.
+ Knowledge of programming and computer technology.
+ Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ CNC press brake experience is ideal.
+ Computer savvy with prior experience in mills/lathes.
+ Familiarity with programming is a plus.
+ Understanding of mathematics and use of hand and power tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheney, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
