Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an experienced Forklift Operator on the 1st or 2nd shift. In this role, you will operate a propane-powered forklift to efficiently move materials around the plant and load trailers. You will perform daily basic maintenance on the forklift, including checking oil levels and conducting safety checks. Additionally, you will be responsible for general housekeeping and documentation of work. As part of your duties, you will also engage in material handling activities such as order picking, shipping, and receiving.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a propane-powered forklift to move materials efficiently.

+ Perform daily maintenance checks on the forklift, including oil level checks and safety inspections.

+ Ensure general housekeeping and accurate documentation of work.

+ Engage in material handler duties, including order picking, shipping, and receiving as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of previous forklift experience.

+ Ability to work 2nd shift hours.

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in large warehouse environments.

+ Familiarity with handling cardboard and other packaging materials.

Work Environment

Work in a large warehouse setting with multiple forklifts operating simultaneously. The shift hours are from 7 to 330pm and 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. A high-visibility vest and steel-toed shoes are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
