Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Omaha NE

4 day work weeks, $27-33/hr, OT available

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of essential tasks including reviewing work orders at the start of your shift, performing preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines, and inspecting and testing machinery such as bearings, gears, and shafts. You will also install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Additional responsibilities include setting up and operating lathes, grinders, and drills, as well as occasional fabrication work to cut or join metal parts.

Responsibilities

+ Review and manage work orders at the start of each shift.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines.

+ Inspect and test machinery including bearings, gears, and shafts.

+ Install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

+ Set up and operate lathes, grinders, and drills.

+ Conduct occasional fabrication to cut or join metal parts.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 1 year experience in setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery within a manufacturing or production setting.

+ 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

+ At least 6 months of electrical and welding/fabricating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Electrical background in addition to mechanical experience is preferred.

+ Ability to learn quickly and take direction effectively.

Work Environment

The work environment is a production setting, maintaining an SQF System that regulates quality within food safety. The company operates with an inclusive culture, focusing on teamwork and positive employee morale. The shifts are 12 hours long, with day shifts running from 4:45 AM to 5 PM and night shifts from 4:45 PM to 5 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA VISTA, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
