    Electronic Manufacturing Engineer

    Job Description

    As an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as the essential link between design and manufacturing teams, with a strong focus on enhancing design for manufacturability. Your expertise will drive the successful deployment and optimization of production lines for innovative products.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and deploy production lines for new products.

    + Support Manufacturing Engineering during initial production runs to validate product development.

    + Participate in design reviews, providing input from an industrialization perspective.

    + Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.

    + Create initial production work instructions for generators and electrical control/conversion units using available manufacturing processes and tools.

    + Design basic tooling and select optimal assembly methods as needed.

    + Monitor supplier compliance with quality standards and contractual flow-downs.

    + Validate Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) for delivered hardware.

    + Approve First Article Inspections (FAIs).

    + Troubleshoot production issues impacting delivery schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction.

    + Provide industrialization support for process and product improvements.

    + Represent manufacturing in new development programs to ensure manufacturability is considered from the outset.

    + Support improvement initiatives, product transitions, and manufacturing transfers.

    + Assist Supplier Quality during audits to verify work instructions align with drawing requirements.

    + Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to establish efficient production process flows.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Manufacturing, Industrialization, or a related engineering discipline.

    + Minimum of 2 years of design or manufacturing experience with aerospace or automotive products or closely related products.

    + Strong understanding of PCBs, electronics, and hardware; must be able to read PCB drawings and understand PCB manufacturing processes.

     

    Additional Skills

     

    + Experience with leaded components (aerospace/DoD).

    + Familiarity with power electronics.

    + Knowledge of heavy copper layer applications.

    + Experience with medium to high voltage systems.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.17 - $41.83/hr.
