Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Design, develop, and implement firmware solutions—from requirements to production and commercial deployment—using C/C++ for the next generation of embedded systems and devices. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to define, develop, and debug hardware/firmware integration. Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability. Maintain and update firmware throughout the device lifecycle. Document firmware design and development processes clearly and thoroughly. Provide technical support for firmware-related issues.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop firmware solutions using C/C++.

+ Collaborate with hardware engineers for integration and debugging.

+ Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability.

+ Maintain and update firmware throughout the device lifecycle.

+ Document firmware design and development processes.

+ Provide technical support for firmware-related issues.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in bare metal C and C++ programming.

+ Proficiency in working with microprocessors and electronics.

+ Experience using oscilloscopes for testing and debugging.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Additional Skills

+ Experience with RTOS.

+ Knowledge of hardware design, particularly with Kadence.

Work Environment

The position is 100% onsite, working alongside a team that includes a Firmware Engineer with 6 years of experience. The work environment is collaborative and involves close coordination with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization. The facility supports a hands-on approach to firmware development, utilizing the latest technologies and tools.

Job Type

This is a Permanent position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
