Industrial Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations with a focus on new product launches and assembly line efficiency. This role is instrumental in driving continuous improvement, enhancing production workflows, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into assembly processes.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and support new product launch activities, including process development, line balancing, and tooling requirements.
+ Design, implement, and improve assembly line layouts for efficiency, safety, and scalability.
+ Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and ergonomic assessments to optimize labor utilization.
+ Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth transition from prototype to production.
+ Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
+ Identify and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve throughput.
+ Troubleshoot production issues and provide engineering support to resolve bottlenecks and quality concerns.
+ Train production staff on new processes and equipment as part of launch readiness.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in assembly-intensive operations.
+ Proven experience in product launch support and ramp-up planning.
+ Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Proficiency in CAD tools and manufacturing simulation software.
+ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
+ Automotive experience is beneficial.
+ Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement.
+ Skill in line balancing.
Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing plant. The role is initially a contract position with potential to transition to full-time after successful product launches.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $45.00/hr.
