Job Description
As a Civil Engineer, you will conceive and design infrastructure projects and systems across both the public and private sectors, including roads, housing projects, commercial development, dams, bridges, airports, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. You will lead teams consisting of Project Managers (PMs), Professional Engineers (PEs), and Engineers in Training (EITs), and be responsible for bidding on projects and maintaining client-facing relationships.
Responsibilities
+ Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned projects.
+ Work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
+ Design, create, and prepare calculations, reports, systems, components, project documentation, and processes.
+ Formulate and solve problems by designing and conducting experiments, and analyze and interpret the data.
+ Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of project work by preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
+ Prepare feasibility studies, engineering documents, and construction specifications by analyzing engineering designs and assembling data.
+ Assign tasks to and direct staff engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
+ Receive general instruction on key objectives from more tenured engineers and guidance on complex problems or modifications when necessary.
+ Assist with proposals and mentor staff engineers.
+ Interact with clients, customers, officials, and contractors.
+ Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of assigned projects.
+ Travel 10-20% of the time as required.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
+ 15+ years of relevant experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of computer-aided design applications, with an emphasis on Civil 3D or Microstation.
+ Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and plans.
+ Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
+ Ability to maintain an overview of multiple projects.
+ Negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
+ Civil engineering, civil design, and Civil 3D expertise.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
Strong benefits package. Will share with candidate if moving forward.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Portland,OR.
