Job Title: Production Material Handler

Summary:

Responsible for loading/removing and bringing needed materials to production lines and stations. Oversee WIP and supplies for production while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all WestRock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Safety:

Required - PPE must be worn while on your job. At a minimum safety glass, steel toe shoes and hearing protection. Gloves are always required on the production floor and warehouses. Please see Appendix A and Appendix B (Conover Specific) attached to the WestRock Glove Policy (CompliantPro). Bump cap per company policy

Required - All safety policies and guidelines must be followed.

Training:

Training requirements for this position are maintained in the Training Module of Compliant Pro.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, composite/steel toe shoes, ear plugs, bump caps and gloves per glove policy.

• Testing and Measuring Ability (General Math): Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler.) Requires pallet jack operation and forklift certification. Pass Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test.

• Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.

• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

• Knowledge of Cartons: Perform quality checks on cartons being processed.

Essential/Marginal Functions and Physical Requirements:

Essential: Take/retrieve excess pallets to/from sheeting warehouse as needed. Remove empty skids from gluers, cellos, waxers. Take completed Flat Pack load to warehouse. Keep warehouse/ drive aisles swept, clean and orderly.

Marginal: Assist packing.

Expectations/Guidelines:

* Supply machines (gluers, flat pack, cellos) with necessary materials.

* Supply cutters with pallets.

* Take/retrieve excess pallets to/from sheeting warehouse as needed.

* Remove empty skids from gluers and cellos.

* Take completed Flat Pack load to warehouse and sign off on barcode label confirming accuracy.

* Provide accurate WIP count of glued and windowed material.

* Keep warehouse and drive swept aisles, clean and orderly.

* Plan and make room for additional WIP pallets in both cutting and printing
