• Senior Data Scientist

    ManTech (Lothian, MD)


    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior** **Data Scientist** to join our team in **Patuxent River, MD.** This is a fulltime **onsite** position.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets

    + Visualize, interpret, and report data findings

    + Create dynamic data reports

    + Apply knowledge to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software

    + Travel up 10%

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of experience performing Data Scientist related work

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or a High School Diploma and 14+ years of data scientist experience, or an Associate’s degree and 12+ years of data scientist experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

    + Ability to conduct briefings to Senior Military & Civil Service personnel

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 3+ years of experience supporting NAVAIR programs or related organizations

    + 2+ years of experience with utilization of the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) simulation model

    + Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) organization and operations

    + Familiarity with NAVAIR Acquisition process

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and active or current Secret clearance

    Physical Requirements:

    + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
