    CTG is seeking to fill an Epic Program Director opening for our client in California.

     

    **Location:** Remote

    **Duration:** 18 months

    Duties:

    The Epic Program Director will lead the successful planning, execution, and deployment of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation across ambulatory and behavioral health service lines. Responsibilities include:

    Program Leadership

    + Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Epic implementation across the enterprise, focusing on Ambulatory and Behavioral Health.

    + Define and manage the full project lifecycle from planning and design to build, testing, training, go-live, and post-live optimization.

    + Ensure integration of ambulatory and behavioral workflows within the broader enterprise EHR strategy.

    Team & Stakeholder Management

    + Direct and coordinate the work of project managers, analysts, trainers, and consultants across IT and clinical departments.

    + Engage and collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align project goals with organizational priorities.

    + Serve as the primary liaison between Epic Systems, third-party vendors, and internal teams.

    Project Oversight

    + Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk assessments, issue logs, and change management protocols.

    + Oversee budget planning and monitoring to ensure fiscal responsibility.

    + Track progress and prepare executive-level status reports and presentations.

    Clinical & Technical Alignment

    + Ensure Epic system configurations support standardized, efficient, and compliant clinical workflows.

    + Collaborate with CMIO, CNIO, Behavioral Health, and Ambulatory leadership to validate clinical decision support tools and documentation standards.

    + Support data integration, reporting, and analytics capabilities post-implementation.

    Skills:

    + Strong program and project management skills, including strategic planning, risk management, and budget oversight.

    + Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience directing cross-functional teams.

    + Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills.

    + Deep knowledge of Epic EHR systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulations.

    Experience:

    + 15+ years of experience in healthcare IT, including 8+ years in Epic program/project leadership roles.

    + Successful track record of leading Epic implementations in Ambulatory and Behavioral Health settings.

    + Experience working with cross-functional teams, executive leadership, and external vendors.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

    + Epic certification in relevant modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, Beacon, Behavioral Health preferred).

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $155,000 to $185,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
