    CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Technician III.

    **Job Title:** Mechanical Technician III

    **Location:** Newton, NC

    _Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC_

    **Pay Rate:** Based on ecxperience

    **Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm

    **Education:** Associates degree

    Description

    The Mechanical Technician III supports new equipment installations, capacity additions, and line debugging in a manufacturing environment. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, mechanical solutions, and collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, cost-effective equipment integration.

    Requirements

    • Install, debug, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems (pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics)

    • Perform alignments, testing, calibration, and root cause analysis

    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

    • Ensure safe practices and support documentation, training, and process improvements

    Required Qualifications

    **Education:** Associates degree

    **Experience:** 3+ years in manufacturing equipment installations; start-up experience a plus

    **Skills:** Strong mechanical fundamentals, troubleshooting, and problem-solving; MS Office proficiency; CMMS familiarity; knowledge of safety practices; effective communication

    **Preferred Certifications:** Millwright, HVAC, Welding, OSHA or safety certifications

    Desired Skills

    • Hands-on experience with commercial manufacturing equipment

    • Project leadership and vendor/supplier management experience

    • CAD knowledge; detail-oriented and able to work independently

    Soft Skills

    • Team collaboration and resource coordination

    • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and communicate effectively

    Travel Requirements

    • Travel between Newton, NC and Hickory, NC project locations
