Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Program CNC machines, automated processes, and robotics

    + Deliver processes as part of a manufacturing engineering team

    + Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

    + Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

    + Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

    + Work together with business leadership (business leaders, plant leaders, etc.)

    + Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research done

    + Work directly with production employees and on cross functional teams

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)

    Desired Characteristics

    + Knowledge of automated milling/edge contour process (milling, vibratory, slurry, robots, etc.)

    + Program experience with milled, turned, shaped, and ground features

    + Must have knowledge of GE Aviation specs relating to edge contour criteria

    + Robotic edge contour experience

    + Previous experience as a process engineer producing rotating parts for jet engines

    + Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
