**Schedule:** Monday – Friday;2nd Shift (9/80A) 2:30p-11pm

**Pay Starting at :** $33 to $37 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a **Mechanical Technician** to join our partner, a global leader in pioneering aerospace systems that have redefined what’s possible in defense and space exploration. In this role, you will work hands-on with **flight hardware and advanced assemblies** , supporting the development, integration, and testing of critical systems that push the boundaries of technology.

What You’ll Do

+ Handle delicate **space flight hardware** using ESD and contamination control best practices.

+ Perform mechanical assembly operations using aerospace drawings and process documentation.

+ Execute space flight bonding operations with adhesives for thermal, electrical, and mechanical connections.

+ Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to improve manufacturability and ensure quality results.

+ Set up, test, and validate prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.

+ Provide daily status updates on assigned hardware and tasks to supervisors and technical coordinators.

+ Use calibrated tools, shelf-life materials, and adhere to process controls in high bays and cleanroom environments.

+ Work off-hours or weekends when needed, and travel occasionally to support program requirements.

What You’ll Bring

Basic Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent plus:

+ 4 years of additional education/experience (for Mechanical Technician 3), OR

+ 6 years of additional education/experience (for Mechanical Technician 4).

1. Experience with **mechanical assembly and operations** using blueprints, drawings, or written instructions.

2. Proficiency in **MS Office Suite** and ability to follow detailed procedures.

3. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

4. Willingness to work **second shift** (training may occur on first shift).

5. **Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.** **Preferred Qualifications:**

6. Previous experience in **mechanical manufacturing, integration, or testing** .

7. Hands-on work with **space flight hardware** or complex composite structures.

8. Experience working in cleanroom or high bay environments.

**Pay Details:** $33.00 to $37.00 per hour
