Job Overview:

Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Production Technician for the hydrogen and air separation processes.The Production Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. This position is a 12-hr shift position, alternating nights and days, and will report to the Plant Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties of a Production Technician include but are not limited to:

+ Work 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.

+ Starting and shutting down equipment and processes.

+ Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parameters.

+ Correctly performing valve line-ups.

+ Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out.

+ Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work.

+ Professional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.

+ Procedure development and training of new employees.

+ Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when required.

+ Other duties as assigned.

The Production Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to escalate matters when more experienced specialists must be called in for support.

+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

+ 2 + years Production Operations experience or Associates Degree with previous internship in Plant Operations

+ Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.

+ Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications).

+ Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment etc.

+ Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.

+ Must be able to climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Associates Degree or higher preferred.
