Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

We are seeking a Privacy Engineering Manager to oversee the development, integration, delivery, and ongoing management of Versant’s privacy compliance program utilizing the OneTrust platform. This role will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers while also remaining hands-on with technical problem solving. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise in OneTrust DSR (Data Subject Request Automation) and CMP (Consent Management Platform) modules and the leadership skills to guide a distributed engineering team, ensuring our systems and processes meet global privacy regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

+ Lead, mentor, and coach a team of privacy integration engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability

+ Partner with product team and stakeholders to define technical requirements from business and compliance needs

+ Serve as the engineering owner of OneTrust to manage integrations, workflows, and system configurations across OneTrust modules (DSR/CMP)

+ Remain hands-on approximately 30% of the time, solving complex technical challenges and supporting the team on critical issues

+ Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and compliance standards

+ Champion code quality, conduct peer reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices

+ Create and maintain architectural diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation

+ Ensure change requests and deployments are executed successfully and on schedule

    Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field — or equivalent experience

+ 7+ years of professional experience working with integrated systems (testing, vendor platforms)

+ 2+ years of leading or managing engineering teams

+ 1+ years of direct hands-on experience with OneTrust (DSR/CMP experience strongly preferred)

+ Experience with object-oriented programming and/or scripting languages

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proven success solving complex technical challenges

+ Experience with API integration and web services (Postman a plus)

+ Familiarity with Git tooling (GitHub preferred) and VS Code

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a distributed/remote environment

+ Strong organizational, delegation, and interpersonal skills

    + Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices

    Additional Requirements:

+ Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-Versant worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Learn more about the benefits offered by NBCUniversal by visiting the Benefits page (https://www.nbcunicareers.com/benefits) of the Careers website. Salary range: $150,000 - $190,000 (bonus eligible).

We are accepting applications for this position on an ongoing basis.

As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision. If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran and require support throughout the application and/or recruitment process as a result of your disability, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation. You can submit your request to [email protected].

Although you'll be hired as an NBCU employee, your employment and the responsibilities associated with this job likely will transition to Versant in the future. By joining at this pivotal time, you'll be a part of this exciting company as it takes shape.
