Job Description
AutoZone is seeking a Distribution Center Transportation Advisor to oversee the daily inbound and outbound flow of fleet equipment and drivers. This role is critical in ensuring DOT compliance, back-haul coordination, driver dispatch, and store delivery execution.

Ability to perform light physical tasks, including walking, standing, and bending.

Ability to work extended or alternate shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate daily equipment assignments for private fleet drivers.
+ Dispatch drivers to cover routes efficiently and ensure on-time deliveries.
+ Manage driver issues, including equipment breakdowns, accidents, and scheduling challenges.
+ Accept or decline back-hauls based on driver availability and delivery schedules.
+ Troubleshoot and manage TMS system
+ Handle store-related transportation issues, including "Where's my truck" calls.
+ Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and AutoZone safety policies.
Qualifications
Required:
3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management.
Preferred:
Associate’s degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program.
Experience with driver dispatch, fleet coordination, and DOT compliance.
Strong knowledge of transportation management systems.
