Responsibilities

Collect, wash and/or distribute clean linens and apparel for assigned clinical areas.

+ Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas. Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.

+ Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed. Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.

+ Wash, dry or fold laundered linens and apparel, identifying items for repair or replacement and notify management.

+ Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.

+ Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.

Requirements

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

+ Job requires standing for prolonged periods of time.

+ Job requires upper body strength to load and unload cycles.

+ The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and will be a team player.
