Drill Operator
- Fox Valley Metal Tech (Green Bay, WI)

+ Responsible for properly setting-up and operating the drill, tapping arm, cage tools, counter sinks, and counter bores
+ Accurately read and interpret manufacturing/part blueprints
+ Accurately punch in and out of jobs via Infor Shop-Trak
+ Responsible for completing an in-process inspection. Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances.
+ Responsible for notifying supervisor when work received by previous operators does not meet the specifications required
+ Maintain clean equipment, tools, and work area
+ Responsible to follow all relative ISO procedures
+ Follow established safety procedures
+ Work effectively in a team environment
+ Support and/or drive FVMT continuous improvement initiatives
+ Communicate and problem solve with others in a reasonable and professional manner
+ Carry out written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions and solve practical problems
+ Perform basic arithmetic calculations
+ Ensure work area is kept clean to 6S standards
+ Demonstrate responsible behavior and attention to detail
+ Ensure the health and safety of oneself and others at all times, and communicate potential hazards to the appropriate personnel
+ Use drill fixtures to drill precision holes in tight areas
+ Understand how to counter bore, counter sink, tap holes, and properly measure each to verify the work performed is correct
+ Understand and perform basic grind and straightening techniques
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
+ 2+ Years of experience with reading and working with technical blueprints, CAD drawings, or layouts is preferred
+ Knowledge of raw materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel is required
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce high quality work is required
+ Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with position is required
+ Experience successfully working alone as well as in a team setting is required
Specialized Experience:
+ Ability to utilize a drawing to set-up the tooling needed to process parts including proper selection of countersinks, counterbores, and taps
+ Ability to use appropriate measuring equipment needed to inspect parts to the customer requirements, including calipers and thread gauges
