As a **Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control** in **BOISE, ID** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible and approachable, providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of the location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of a tech, media, or telecom facility.

+ Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during the shift.

+ Assist with visitor and contractor management processes, ensuring all individuals entering the location are properly identified and authorized.

+ Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client representatives to address security-related concerns and support overall operations.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Must have a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
