    Schedule

     

    Upon hire you will work full-time Monday- Friday, available schedules 8am-4:30pm.

     

    Pay Rate

     

    The wage for this position is between $47 and $51. Hourly wage is dependent upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

    Position Overview:

    The Dental Hygienist has an excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures. They have a friendly attitude and the ability to promote good oral health practices. Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial client screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque) and advising clients on oral health and preventative care. The Hygienist must be reliable and able to build trust with clients as well as have knowledge of health and safety rules and for oral diseases and anomalies.

    What you'll be doing:

    + Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination

    + Sterilize dental instruments properly

    + Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history

    + Identify conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis

    + Clean and help protect clients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)

    + Educate clients on proper tooth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)

    + Give instructions to clients after dental hygiene procedures

    + Take X-rays and/or dental impressions

    + Assist Dentists with appropriate treatments for various diseases

    + Maintain documentation and charts on each client

    + Monitor supplies and coordinates re-ordering as needed

    Qualifications:

    + Associates or Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene

    + Active Dental Hygiene licensure in state of GA

    + Previous experience with Dentrix, preferred

    + Great communication skills (writing, speaking, listening, etc.)

    + CPR certification

    **Pay Details:** $47.00 to $51.00 per hour
