• Energy Auditor

    Actalent (New York, NY)


    We’re seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Site Inspector to support residential and commercial energy efficiency programs across the NYC metro area. In this field-based role, you'll conduct inspections, perform diagnostic testing, verify contractor installations, and help improve building performance through energy-saving solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform field inspections of HVAC, lighting, and building envelope systems

    + Conduct diagnostic testing such as blower door and combustion analysis

    + Verify the quality and completion of contractor-installed energy efficiency upgrades

    + Document findings and ensure work complies with program and safety standards

    + Communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and internal teams

    + Maintain accurate inspection reports, client records, and compliance documentation

    + Travel locally to project sites, with occasional evening or weekend availability

    Qualifications:

    + 1+ year of experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, building inspections, or related field

    + Familiarity with building systems, energy audits, or utility programs

    + Strong communication and problem-solving skills in customer-facing environments

    + OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
