    Cloud Systems Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Cloud Systems Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and qualification of missile defense system hardware and software. You will work on the Modeling and Simulation Contract – Framework and Tools (MASC-F) to ensure readiness against evolving threats. This position involves running 'what-if' scenarios to optimize system configurations and providing critical data for assessing operational effectiveness.

    Responsibilities

    + Establish and maintain cloud infrastructures.

    + Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible for automated deployment.

    + Work with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

    + Administer Linux servers, DNS servers, domain controllers, and network storage devices.

    + Design, configure, and install IT systems including routers, servers, switches, and storage systems.

    + Integrate real-world hardware and models to evaluate missile defense architectures.

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management.

    + Hands-on experience with Ansible or similar IaC tools.

    + Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

    + Strong Linux system administration skills (minimum 3 years, e.g., RHEL 8).

    + 7+ years of overall systems administration experience.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

    + Must have Active Secret clearance

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with RHEL 8 and RHEL 9.

    + Experience with the complete DevSecOps lifecycle.

    + Knowledge of vulnerability remediation and security management tools.

    + Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware.

    + Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and STIG implementation.

    + Proficiency with GitLab, Jira, or similar tools.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, Alabama.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
