    Robert Half Technology (Wixom, MI)


    Description

    This role provides comprehensive support for end-user devices and systems across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), while also managing server infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

     

    • Key Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop and mobile device issues.

    + Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.

    + Manage support tickets and respond to user inquiries promptly.

    + Provision and maintain wired/wireless devices and cloud-based VoIP systems.

    + Maintain VMware server farm and provision virtual machines.

    + Terminate and manage network/telephony cabling.

    + Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of IT assets.

    + Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

    + Support mobile device management using Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

    + Perform additional IT-related tasks as assigned.

    • Required Skills & Experience

    + Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, Office 365, VMware ESX.

    + Experience with macOS, iOS, Android, and mobile device management.

    + Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, IPSec, SIP).

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, SAP.

    + Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and service desk management.

    + Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.

    • Education & Certifications

    + Option 1: Associate’s Degree in System Administration, Networking, Cybersecurity and relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Secure Infrastructure Specialist).

    + Option 2: Minimum of 7 years of experience in system administration without formal degree or certifications.

    + Ability to follow instructions and resolve standardized problems.

    + Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.

    + Adaptability to frequent changes and high-pressure environments.
