Job Title: Custom Cabinetry Production Worker - PAYING $17 TO $18 AN HOUR - ENTRY LEVEL

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a large manufacturing facility dedicated to producing high-quality custom cabinets. Begin your career in the trim department with opportunities for advancement into other departments, gaining comprehensive experience across four key areas.

Responsibilities

+ Follow job instructions, inspect own work process carefully, and maintain a clean and orderly work area according to safety regulations.

+ Perform edge sanding using orbital sanders on doors and headers.

+ Inspect loose components and repair as necessary in the mid-inspect stage.

+ Catch panels from the panel sander.

+ Hang components onto a paint line.

+ Install hinges onto doors.

+ Measure components, match order forms with products, and install shelves and tray tracks in the trim department.

+ Screw in roll tray tracks, hang doors, and install drawers as a door hanger.

+ Package finished cabinets into cardboard boxes.

+ Remove stain from components quickly, following the wood grain in the first wiper stage.

+ Remove excess glaze from the face of each component, allowing it to remain in natural areas of the doors.

Essential Skills

+ Production and general labor experience.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

+ Experience in carpentry, cabinet making, and cabinetry.

+ Manual dexterity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6 months of previous work experience.

+ Ability to lift 30 lbs.

+ Pass a tape measure test.

+ Adaptability to keep up with training in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 300 employees. The environment can be loud and dusty, but safety glasses and ear protection are provided. The standard work hours are 7am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes and attire free of offensive imagery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
