    Join the rapidly expanding Lilly Gene Therapy team at Eli Lilly. We invent, characterize, and advance novel gene therapy reagents for a wide range of clinical applications, working cross-functionally across disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene therapy for patients worldwide.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, produce, and characterize lentiviral vectors (LVVs) to support discovery-stage cell therapy programs.

    + Develop and execute small-scale LVV production workflows to enable high-throughput testing of CAR and other construct panels.

    + Perform quality control and titering using molecular and cellular assays, including qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, and sequencing.

    + Optimize LVV packaging and transduction protocols to improve yield and consistency.

    + Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to data analysis and troubleshooting.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to support in vitro and in vivo evaluation of engineered constructs.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years, or Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology, or related field.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with high-throughput LVV production workflows and automation platforms is a plus.

    + Familiarity with genome editing tools (e.g., CRISPR, recombinase) for site-directed integration is a plus.

    + Experience with primary cell engineering and/or functional screening assays; in vivo study experience is a plus.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

    + Hands-on experience with lentiviral vector production, packaging, and characterization.

    + Proficiency in molecular biology and cell culture techniques, including transfection, titration, and functional assays.

    + Familiarity with quality control methods such as qPCR/ddPCR, flow cytometry, and sequencing.

    Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

     

    $71,250 - $187,000

     

    Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
