The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Justin P. Forkner, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.
Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $85,020 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:
This position serves as an Education Attorney for the Indiana Office of Court Services (IOCS) Education Division, responsible for developing, administering, and supporting the continuing judicial branch education programs of the Indiana Supreme Court. Responsibilities include creating content for in-person and virtual education programs, staffing the Judicial Education Committee, managing the l the professional development scholarship awards. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two remote workdays per week.
A Day in the Life:
• Serve as a legal, law trained subject matter expert.
• Research and answer legal questions posed by faculty or team members.
• Assess educational needs of judicial officers and judicial branch staff and develop plans to meet those needs.
• Work with stakeholders, judicial faculty, and subject matter experts to design and deliver training.
• Use education as a tool to promote consistency and advance the rule of law.
• Anticipate trends and emerging issues in judicial education.
• Apply adult learning principles to ensure programs include clear objectives, interactive activities, and engaging content.
• Draft curriculum and develop course or session content.
• Teach or serve as faculty or facilitator for continuing education programs.
• Identify, recruit, and support faculty to teach and present.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person and virtual education programs, including workshops, conferences, and webinars.
• Collaborate with staff on event execution, including registration, day-of implementation, and follow-up.
• Promote and support distance learning opportunities.
• Conduct and evaluate needs assessments and program effectiveness.
• Provide consultation and staff support for Judicial Conference committees and other groups as assigned.
• Manage the Indiana Supreme Court’s professional development scholarship program and judicial officer recognition programs.
• Write articles, reports, and committee materials for court publications.
• Attend state and national conferences and participate in organizations focused on judicial education and court management.
• Travel within Indiana as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need for Success:
Juris Doctorate and active license to practice law in Indiana.

Technology and Tool Usage
• Learn and adapt to new technologies within the Microsoft Suite as well as Supreme Court systems
