Job Title: Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Estimator/Planner. This role involves primarily estimating manufacturing costs to prepare customer quotes, along with cross-training in manufacturing planning functions as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Use customer-supplied data, such as drawings, part lists, and specifications, to generate estimated costs for assemblies.

+ Break down bills of materials for material, labor, and finish process estimates.

+ Consult with customers, vendors, and internal personnel to formulate cost estimates.

+ Meet deadlines and document processes.

+ Prepare and format quotes for submission to customers.

+ Conduct time studies.

+ Create manufacturing plans using an MRP system.

Essential Skills

+ 5 years of experience as an estimator planner in the machining aerospace assembly industry.

+ Experience in milling, turning, and assembly of aerospace parts.

+ Ability to understand drawings, parts, and specifications.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

+ Proficient in Excel.

+ Experience with MRP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person with customers and outside vendors as needed.

+ Experience in ERP, bidding, production planning, inventory, supply chain, schedule planning, project management, and blueprint reading.

The pay range for this position is $84000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
