Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all industrial equipment. This includes performing both preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that converting equipment and lines run consistently. The technician will participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, perform repairs, and implement technical solutions. Proficiency with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment.
+ Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
+ Troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues.
+ Ensure constant operation of converting equipment and lines.
+ Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
+ Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.
+ Utilize precision measuring equipment effectively.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
+ Proficiency in conveyor maintenance and working with motors.
+ 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.
+ Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
+ Experience in troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and electrical work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Preferred 3+ years working in a GMP environment.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office.
+ Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility is ideal.
+ Experience in a non-FDA facility for 3 years is acceptable.
+ Experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus.

Work Environment
The facility is a privately held Health & Beauty Care Company operating nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers. The plant operates around the clock, five days a week, with product distribution taking place nationally seven days a week. As a liquid filling facility, candidates with experience in liquid filling or packaging, especially from the food and beverage industry, are preferred due to the FDA-regulated environment. Be aware of strong odors in the facility, which may vary depending on the department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
