    Are you a seasoned design professional ready to lead, innovate, and make an impact? Join our team as a **Senior Design Technician** , where your advanced technical expertise and leadership will drive complex utility design projects and elevate team performance.

    As a key contributor and team leader in our non-engineer technical support track, you’ll:

    + Lead utility design tasks including drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation, and cost estimating

    + Ensure all designs meet safety standards, construction protocols, and regulatory requirements

    + Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, delivering on time and exceeding expectations

    + Collaborate across engineering, operations, and construction teams to align project goals

    + Resolve GIS and CADD conflicts to maintain data accuracy and integrity

    + Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

    + Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for technical challenges

    + Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance for team deliverables

    + Mentor junior technicians and support training initiatives

    + Champion innovation and implement process improvements across projects

    + Uphold safety and compliance in every aspect of your work

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Appropriate Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Three (3)+ years of experience in design, permitting, construction management, project management, urban planning, civil engineering, or a closely related field.

    + Experience working with local jurisdictions and negotiating with agencies on permit requirements and conditions (preferred but not required).

    + Computer‑Aided Design/Drafting (CADD) and/or Geographic Information System (GIS) experience (or ability to quickly learn); experience creating simple permit sketches preferred.

    + Functional understanding of Microsoft 365 and common ERP/CRM and scheduling tools preferred.
