• Quality Engineer

    Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (Cleveland, OH)


    Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking a qualified Engineer to join our Cleveland Works Quality team at the facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality steel products, including hot-rolled steel, cold-reduced galvanized, and galvannealed coated products, serving the automotive, appliance, and other industrial markets.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    + Input steel routings into plant manufacturing systems

    + Lead the disposition of held materials

    + Provide support for Quality Management initiatives, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), corrective actions, and measurement device oversight

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Cleveland plant

    + Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to product quality

    + Coordinate with other quality teams across Cleveland-Cliffs facilities

    + Conduct data analysis to assess and improve product capability

    + Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

    + Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership capabilities

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    + Effective typing and data entry skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science

    + 5+ years of relevant experience

    + Familiarity with Quality Management Systems

    + Experience working in a unionized environment
