Assistant Program Director 12th Street

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Assistant Program Director to support daily operations and staff oversight at our 12th Street location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone experienced in mental health services, supervision, and residential program operations.
Position eligible for a $750 sign on bonus
Responsibilities
+ Supervise residential staff, including scheduling, approving timecards, and managing time-off requests.
+ Provide direct coaching and annual performance evaluations for overnight staff.
+ Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure quality care, safety, and compliance.
+ Oversee medication room, including inventory and storage protocols.
+ Monitor maintenance needs; complete and track maintenance work orders.
+ Ensure staff receive adequate training and ongoing support.
+ Coordinate staff schedules in collaboration with the Program Director; arrange coverage with respite staff when needed.
+ Follow agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Procedure Manual.
+ Maintain and update the CR/TAS on-call manager documentation.
+ Participate in the on-call rotation for crisis response.
+ Carry a caseload as needed, supporting program needs and continuity of care.
+ Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for staff and residents.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
+ Associate’s degree with supervisory experience accepted
+ High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mental health field required
+ Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
+ Reliable transportation
+ Valid and clean New York State Driver’s License
