    Job Description

    The Fiscal & Procurement Specialist serves a key support role for the fiscal and procurement operations of the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) by providing the necessary data for sound business decisions, strategic planning, and school initiatives. Reporting to the Business Manager of the A&S Service Center, the Fiscal & Procurement Specialist ensures that administrative, financial, and operational systems and controls are properly maintained. The Fiscal & Procurement Specialist assists the Service Center team with matters related to budgets, reporting, procurement, travel, grants and expenses while contributing to the Service Center?s effectiveness and successful daily operations.

     

    The Fiscal & Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily procurement operations, processing vouchers and expense reimbursements, managing tracking, reporting and reconciliations and assisting with budgeting activities. The position works as part of a team to support the 20 departments within A&S. Interaction with departments outside A&S includes Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Budget, and the Office for Sponsored Programs. The University policies and procedures must be understood and interpreted daily while simultaneously applying the procedures of the Service Center and the Provost's office.

    Grade: 2ND

     

    Hiring Range: $27.47/hr to $34.34/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.

    Requirements

    Two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include an understanding of or demonstrated aptitude with budgetary and financial concepts, preferably in higher education.

     

    Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
