About the role

As a Technology Architect, you will make an impact by designing and implementing secure data transfer solutions that ensure integrity, confidentiality, and operational efficiency. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Integration & Security team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including infrastructure leads, cybersecurity experts, and business analysts.

In this role, you will:

+ Architect, install, and configure secure, scalable Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions in AWS cloud

+ Translate business and technical requirements into workflow automation, API integrations, and custom scripting for MFT.

+ Define, implement, and enforce best practices for secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, and others.

+ Develop and maintain custom scripts, APIs, and connectors to extend GoAnywhere functionality and meet unique business needs.

+ Integrate GoAnywhere with enterprise systems such as ERP, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and various cloud applications.

+ Apply software development skills to build automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and self-healing mechanisms for MFT operations.

+ Implement robust encryption, authentication, and data protection strategies aligned with compliance standards like HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, etc.

+ Conduct code reviews and enforce secure coding practices for all GoAnywhere workflows, scripts, and integrations.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.

+ Continuously optimize file transfer processes for performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.

+ Provide Level 3 SME support, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

Work Model: Hybrid – from the United States only

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Newark - NJ USA. What you need to have to be considered:

+ 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years focused in any MFT preferably on GoAnywhere MFT (Fortra).

+ Strong experience designing MFT architectures in enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.

+ Hands-on expertise in workflow automation, scripting (PowerShell, Shell, Python), and APIs.

+ Prior software development experience in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages.

+ Knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, SCP).

+ Strong understanding of security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

+ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

+ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments.

+ Experience in enterprise-scale migration projects for MFT platforms.

These will help you stand out:

+ Domain experience in Energy Supply & Trading or Utilities.

+ Experience conducting security assessments and risk mitigation.

+ Ability to document technical specifications with clarity and precision.

+ Proactive approach to innovation and staying current with emerging technologies.

+ **CISSP or equivalent Certification in data security is required**

Salary and Other Compensation

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
