    Job Details:

    We are seeking a versatile and skilled developer to join our team working on innovative web applications with geospatial and mapping functionality. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and geospatial technologies.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain web applications using Angular 14+, JavaScript, and NodeJS.

    + Design, query, and optimize relational data using PostgreSQL databases.

    + Integrate and utilize open-source geospatial libraries such as Leaflet, as well as mapping APIs including Google Maps API and Earth Engine API.

    + Build and enhance spatial solutions using ArcGIS technologies.

    + Collaborate with team members, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality features.

    + (Optional) Participate in DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Angular (version 14 or newer) for building rich, interactive front-end solutions.

    + Working knowledge of NodeJS for backend or API development.

    + Experience with PostgreSQL database design and management, including complex queries.

    + Practical experience with Leaflet, Google Maps API, or Earth Engine API for web mapping and spatial analysis.

    + Proven development experience with ArcGIS technology, tools, or APIs.

    + Familiarity with open-source web mapping, spatial data, and GIS concepts.

    + JD at high level:

    + Strong in **Angular** ( 70% ) and ReactJS (30% )

    + Hands-on **Leaflet** libraries

    + Integrate and utilize open-source geospatial libraries such as Leaflet, as well as **mapping APIs including Google Maps API and Earth Engine API** .

    + Good to have ESRI exposure

    + OpenSource is mandatory given the landscape that the client works in and ESRI would be good-to-have.

    Good to Have

    + Experience implementing or contributing to DevOps pipelines and automation (CI/CD tools, scripting, containers).

    + Knowledge of full application lifecycle (from code to deployment).

    + Effective communication and teamwork skills.

    + Salary and Other Compensation:

    + The annual salary for this position is between $115K - $130K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

    + This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
