About the role
As a Healthcare Lead Business Analyst (EMR), you will make an impact by leading the analysis and documentation of clinical requirements to support EMR/EHR systems and healthcare applications.
You will be a valued member of the healthcare technology team and work collaboratively with stakeholders across clinical and technical domains.
In this role, you will:
Lead requirement gathering and documentation (BRD/FRD) for EMR/EHR systems, including Azura EXA.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and translate clinical workflows into actionable use cases and diagrams.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to validate performance and accuracy.
Manage defect tracking and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
Oversee user acceptance testing and ensure timely updates on project milestones.
Leverage analytics to enhance healthcare systems and document processes using Jira.
Monitor PACS systems and maintain user access and reporting.
Configure worklists and views tailored to user needs.

What you need to have to be considered:
Minimum 12 years of experience in the healthcare domain.
Strong expertise in EMR/EHR systems, including Azura EXA.
Proven experience in clinical workflow analysis and documentation.
Hands-on experience with Jira for process documentation and issue tracking.
Familiarity with PACS systems and healthcare reporting tools.
These will help you stand out:
Experience configuring user-specific views and worklists.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance and data privacy standards.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
