Special Education Teacher | $65/hr | Full-Time | Rockford, IL | Early Childhood & Elementary | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support Early Childhood and Elementary classrooms in Rockford, Illinois for the 2025–2026 school year. This role begins August 20, 2025, and offers $65/hour for 40 hours per week.

This is a high-impact opportunity—hiring a qualified LBS1 teacher will allow the district to open new classrooms and onboard additional support staff.

Position Overview:

+ Location: Rockford, IL

+ Start Date: August 20, 2025

+ Duration: 1 school year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

+ Modality: In-person

+ Pay Rate: $65/hour

Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals

+ Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

+ Participate in planning, implementation, and ARD/IEP meetings

+ Support structured learning and inclusive classroom environments

Minimum Requirements:

+ Valid Illinois teaching certificate (LBS1 endorsement preferred)

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ One year of teaching experience (preferred)

+ CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
