We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Sr. Chemical Plant Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will be in charge of managing the daily operations of our chemical processes, ensuring that efficiency, safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards are consistently met. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest levels of operational excellence and driving continuous improvement in our processes.
This role will report at the Metropolis, Illinois manufacturing facility in an onsite work schedule.
The annual base salary range for this position is $153,000.00 - 191,000.00 in Metropolis, IL. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
+ Ensure compliance of all company policies and government regulations.
+ Develop the annual operating plan (AOP) for operations and manage monthly adherence to the plan.
+ Ensure containers of hazardous, non-hazardous, and radiological waste are managed in compliance with Honeywell and regulatory standards.
+ Collaborate with other departments to achieve site and company goals.
+ Reporting of daily metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
+ Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team.
+ Manage operations personnel through all aspects including staffing, organizational structure, scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective measures when applicable.
+ Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to improve site operations, people, processes, and procedures.
+ Manage raw material and finished product inventories.
+ Conduct regular Gemba walks to reinforce standards, engage operations teams, and encourage improvement opportunities
YOU MUST HAVE:
+ 5+ years of chemical manufacturing experience.
+ 2+ years leadership (Manager, Supervisor) of direct reports.
WE VALUE:
+ Strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
+ Master's degree in Engineering or Chemical preferred.
+ Six-Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
