SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians and overseeing daily operations of the inpatient pharmacy department. Supervising of personnel to include hiring, discipline, performance reviews, scheduling, and time keeping. Oversight of daily operations to include prioritizing, redirecting, and assisting with workflow, as well as education, guidance, and support for the team. Primary resource for day to day concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Associate's degree plus 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent combination of education and hospital pharmacy experience required.

+ 2 years of leadership experience required.

+ Pharmacy Technician Certification required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

+ Working knowledge of hospital pharmacy best practices.

+ Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel.

+ Strong organizational, communication and critical thinking skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Familiarity with USP chapters 795, 797, and 800 preferred.
