Senior Air Quality Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, provides planning, permitting, engineering, site assessment, and corrective action services to clients worldwide.
We are seeking a Senior Air Quality Project Manager for the Air Quality and Related Services Environmental Group. This position will be based in our Denver, CO location with the ability remote .
The Senior Air Quality Project Manager manages air quality projects and works with teams on complex environmental projects. In addition to executing project work, the Senior Air Quality Project Manager is involved in business development activities and proposal writing. The successful candidate will be able to conduct and manage a myriad of air quality permitting and compliance projects for a variety of clients.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Develops business by networking through face-to-face visits with potential clients and participating in professional trade associations by attending conferences, tradeshows, and webinars
+ Supports business development activities by helping to develop internal marketing materials and contributes technical articles to POWER publications
+ Prepares proposals for environmental support
+ Writes and assembles papers and/or presentations for technical conferences
+ Advocates for POWER’s clients, keeping them informed of pertinent regulatory matters and other issues that impact their business
+ Manages projects related to air quality permit applications, Title V operating permits, compliance reports, and plan approvals including project financial and resource management
+ Assists industrial clients in determining federal and state air quality regulatory applicability and develops strategies and systems for compliance
+ Interfaces with State air quality agencies and EPA on behalf of industrial clients
+ Works collaboratively with POWER colleagues, engineering firms, equipment vendors, other 3rd parties (e.g., laboratories, stack testing companies) and attorneys in support of clients’ air quality needs
+ Develops various plans and documents in support of clients’ regulatory requirements
+ Participates in public meetings and hearings on behalf of clients
+ Calculates emissions and evaluates air emissions control technologies
+ Plans and conducts environmental compliance audits
+ Performs and ensures QA/QC of technical work
+ Mentors POWER’s technical staff for their professional development
Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related science
+ A minimum of (10) years of relevant experience
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including report writing, oral presentations, and direct verbal communication
+ Experience in interpreting and developing compliance strategies for State and Federal air quality regulations
+ Availability to travel up to 20% of the time
+ Valid State driver's license
Preferred Education/Experience
+ Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related science
+ Prior environmental consulting experience
+ P.E. certification or equivalent

Base Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
