Our Home Health Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) are the heart of our organization! $7.5k Sign-on Bonus

Coverage areas:Mineral, Partlow, Ruther Glen, Beaverdam and surrounding areas

Office location:Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule:Full-Time Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

+ Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care

+ Direct and aid patient in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training

+ Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage

+ Instruct in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices

+ Observe and report to the physical therapist the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in condition

+ Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements

+ Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

+ Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the CAPTE with current licensure to practice in state of operation

+ 1+ year PTA experience

+ Home health experience preferred

+ Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
