Job Description

A client in the North Houston area is looking for a Fullstack Developer to join their team in modernizing a legacy drilling application. A typical day will involve creating microservices from classic legacy systems, specifically working with MFC/EDT components. This person will be hands-on with C/C++ and Fortran codebases, helping transition critical functionality into a more modular, scalable architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with legacy technologies and be comfortable navigating complex, domain-specific systems. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with an emphasis on system-level programming and modernization. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential, as this person will collaborate closely with engineering leads and product stakeholders. This is a direct hire position with a salary range of $120K–$150K.

Skills and Requirements

Strong experience with C/C++ in a production environment

Familiarity with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class)/EDT (Engineer’s Desktop) and legacy application frameworks

Proven ability to refactor and build microservices from legacy systems

Fullstack development experience with both front-end and back-end components

Experience working with technical domains such as drilling or industrial software

Strong analytical and communication skills Experience with Fortran in a production environment
