RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides application and technical support of Enterprise Imaging Systems (e.g., Cardiology PACS, Radiology PACS, Vendor Neutral Archive, other imaging related applications, devices and modalities that integrate with imaging systems, etc.), including the implementation of best practices.
• Maintains basic knowledge of clinical and technical processes and workflows, providing input to operational departments on advancing the use of technology to achieve efficiencies and automate manual work.
• Assists with documenting requirements, identifying options for improving imaging systems and bridging the needs of the clinicians with the use of technology.
• Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, and provides input on what is a user request versus an underlying need.
• Serves as a resource in small to medium projects/initiatives, including actively participating in project planning, and execution of assigned work, ensuring high quality and timely completion.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.
• Frequent: sitting.
• Infrequent: walking, stooping/bending, reaching at and below shoulder level.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Radiologic Technology, Nursing or related field; or four (4) years work experience in IT demonstrating technical knowledge to design, test, and implement technology may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• Based on area of assignment, must successfully complete and maintain certification(s) in the application(s) assigned, and as may be specified per the training agreement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the educational requirement, one (1) year experience in information technology systems in two (2) or more of the following areas: analysis, requirements gathering, system design, system configuration, and testing.
• One (1) year experience supporting Enterprise Imaging Systems, including Cardiology PACS, Radiology PACS, or similar systems preferred.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Knowledge of computer technology such as desktop support, telecommunications, networks or client operations, etc.
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Office, Excel, Word, and other desktop applications.
o Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
o Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
