    Job Summary

    Post-Award Grants and Contracts Officers

     

    Facilitate the grant process post-award for the university. Coordinates cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations and private contributors.

     

    This job will qualify for nearly 100% remote work, aside from occasional division meetings/events. A set schedule will need to be maintained to continue a remote work schedule.

     

    Reports to the Division of Occupational & Environmental Health Director of Finance.

    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Will work closely with OEH PIs and administration.

    + Assists PIs in completing monthly EOR on projects that they support

    + Create cost transfer forms and documents

    + Creates and reviews PARs for grants they support

    + Forecasts expenses and budgets spend down

    + Ensures compliance with sponsor and grant guidelines

    + Serves as liaison with OSP and GCA

    + Completes documents and forms in eAward for project setup, modification, carry forward, closure, etc

    + Sets up sub-award agreements and coordinates invoicing

    + Pulls financial information for the PI, sponsor and progress reports

    + May coordinate with sponsor

    + Reviews and approves project expenses and reports (Ushop, Concur, ePR, etc)

    + Other duties as assigned

     

    Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), I

     

    Facilitate the grant process post-award for the university. Coordinate cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations and private contributors. With basic oversight completes various routine post-award administration of grant &/or contract activities.

     

    Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.

     

    This is an Entry-Level position in the General Professional track.

     

    Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), II

     

    Facilitate the grant process post-award for the university. Coordinate cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations and private contributors. Independently and with some basic oversight, completes various routine post-award administration of research grants &/or contracts.

     

    Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

     

    This is a Developing-Level position in the General Professional track.

     

    Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), III

     

    Facilitate the grant process post-award for the university. Coordinate cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations and private contributors. Independently completes post-award administration of research grants &/or contracts.

     

    Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.

     

    This is a Career-Level position in the General Professional track.

    Minimum Qualifications

    **EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

    Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

    **Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), I:** Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.

    **Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), II:** Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

    **Post-Award Grants & Contract Officer ( GCO ), III :** Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
